Dixie Darlin' has a case of mild concussion "road founder".  This means the hard ground caused some damage to her hooves.  Nailing on shoes is not a good idea because concussion is what caused her soreness in the first place.  I used an aluminum plate welded into a Kerkheart aluminum shoe.  Then I applied impression material.  The "package" is adhered using spectra cloth and equilox.  This has been very successful with many similar cases.

	Dixie looks great. Lost weight and is sound.
	5 weeks: holding strong although she was mostly stalled.		Fresh reset using spectra cloth and equilox.
	Right front has a little distortion		Left front looks great.
	Notice the right front is a little higher.  That is impression material for a slight wedge, cushioning and support.		Aluminum plate welded into shoe for protection. Notice where shoe is set back from toe.
	This makes for a nicely aligned package with great protection, cushioning and no stress from nails.

October: Dixie is now barefoot and back to light work.
