- December 2006: Next year's calendar will
mostly be in this month. Revamping the Success
Through Soundness section with some new performance and lameness cases and a
more logical and efficient design is coming (slowly).
- The Silver Bullet Project takes off like
a freight train with the new additions of a top shelf Lincoln AC/DC tig welder
and new portable oxy/acetylene tanks with a Henrob torch. These things allow us incredibly
expanded capabilities. I'll tell you what we are up to when a couple of
bench marks are accomplished.
- I have made major improvements to my shoeing
rig setup in the areas of organization of new tools and materials, heating,
and lighting. Nathan, and I have been spending most of our spare
time in the shop working on building our skills and re-engineering our rigs.

November 2006: The Silver Bullet Project
Conception.
-
October 2006: Working with a lot of
Sigafoos shoes all of a sudden due to veterinary recommendations. 6
scheduled in 10 days. All of the tools and supplies are in the truck, although
it is particularly useful to haul in for these or any other un-traditional
methods.

Haul ins
always welcome here in
Batavia, Ohio for special and regular cases (particularly lost shoes).
-
August 2006: I received 17 messages between 4pm
and 7pm Aug 17 while my phone had no service at Pegasus Farm.
-
July
28, 2006: I finally have much needed help. Nathan Van Zant has
worked with Ernie Grey for years and is now helping me a few days a week.
Thank goodness.

I can't keep a digital camera
operational so no photo docs until spring when I can get another. Bummer.
